Hi Everyone!!!

Well I have been on a long journey this last year with my health

and family.

Health issues getting out of control, between the fibromyalgia, sinus infections constantly, also with my GAD(general anxiety disorder = all anxiety categories in me). My health, well being and weight have all gone out of control. Wears on your mind mentally always feeling like doody. Feeling like you have no control at all. The crap piles up and drags you down. Everything I loved doing has been placed aside, getting out and doing things with anyone has become a chore even. Ive been tired of all the meds I have to take, taking 8 different meds or more depending if I have a sinus infection or not. Seeing the doctor becomes a chore, not knowing how you will feel one day to the next. My doctor put in for FMLA for me to protect my job, so now if I am sick my boss can not make me feel guilty. The stress of that wears on you also.

What I have been doing the last month is turning to alternative medicine, herbs, meditation, life changes. It will take a Lil while, because life style changes are the hardest.

Ive started with a excellent book "Rosemary Gladstone's Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health" and wow what a difference. I'm also reading "Andrew Weil, MD 8 weeks to Optimum Health". I need control of my life again. Yes I know I will have to take certain meds for ever like my Thyroid meds, high blood pressure, and some GAD meds but if I can maybe lower some of it by a lifestyle change I AM READY!!!

Being ill wears on you financially, mentally, physically, and emotionally. And not just on yourself but your family also.

One person who has been supportive this past year to always check on me and been there is my Friend Lowell aka Snowbrush at http://snowbrush.blogspot.com/

He has been a very understanding friend as he goes through pain everyday. He also tells me like it is just like our mutual friend Renee had. Some may find him overly direct but that's what I love about him. Because if you want the truth shouldn't it be honest. If you do not then you want just coddling and that isn't healthy. I love his courage to be direct and honest.

I truly have missed my blog friends, sisters and brothers.

I have been drawing on my laptop, but anything else has been null. I felt like my soul was in turmoil and had no desire to create which is so not like me. I have always been one for creating with anything. Seeing the potential in everything around me, and that was lost.

So here is a start to get myself back.

I will try and and post at least 2-3 times a week, and keep blogging to gain my sanity back. I do understand I have not even been a good friend to the ones I love on here. I do apologize and I am deeply sorry for leaving everyone hanging. It was no one but me that had the issue, ad it is time to take back my life, confidence, and well being.

I will be trying very hard on this new journey for me. And will post my pics as I go through it all, art and self.

Please bear with me on this journey.

Without Renee this last year it has been so hard because she was a awesome friend and confidant. I had felt lost without her and truly miss her. I do realize she is with me and I can talk to her anytime, but I miss her advice, counseling, strength and love. I do not deal with death at all, so believe me when I say losing a true friend is very hard as most know. I have lost a lot of loved ones to cancer, and when Renee died it took a lot from me, and weighed on my mind a lot. I was angry, depressed, torn, and so worried who would go next. Felt as if why get close to anyone if I was going to go through that again, and I am sorry I cut so many off because of it.

As someone told me "New day new start"

Here is to a new start.

Time to say goodbye to "What if?" and start with "Yes I can"

Hi y'all sorry I have been Mia. My daughter Erin has been really sick with bronchitis and now something with her kidneys and liver. Ayden growing like weed and in his walker. I got bronchitis from Erin out for a week and then it went into bad sinus infection and then my sleep was null back to insomnia. I've been sick and in bed for 3.5 weeks. Job is fine of course. Everyone is otherwise well so that is good thing.2nd my daughters are living back home again Kiley and Victoria and their two dogs. But it will be fine. My BFF of 30 yes is visiting May 31 I am so fucking excited have not seen him in 27 yrs. 4days with and my family very excited. I have been drawing a lot on my lap top trying to make children's book for my Ayden and for donation to the children's hospital here. Been researching it to make sure I do it right.

I have missed everyone immensely and will be around to see everyone. I have a few deaths this last month one uncle from altheimerz and friend with brain cancer. This last bout of bronchitis has my dr watching me close because of family history and lung cancer . My grandma, dad, and my dads uncle all died from it and my grandmas dad also . But hey no use fussing life will go on and I will too. So reason I'm making the books is so Ayden and my kids have something from my creativity and silliness in a story to keep of me forever.

I will start posting logging my new adventure here and stay in touch with y'all

"Hello it's George. I just got back from the hospital. Dede is doing good.She had a swallow test today. She could not swallow so she we keep the feeding tube for now. The swallow test is also to check for leaks. There was no leaks detected. With that being said she should be unhooked from everything except the feeding tube tomorrow. The doctor said she should come home tomorrow or Wednesday. Keep up the prayers and with any luck she will be emailing you guys instead of me. I know she misses you guys her freinds". George

" Hello, this is DeDe's son Brandt. Been a busy week I figured I would give you an update. DeDe is doing good the've been taking the tubes out of her 1 at a time. she goes for a swallow test tomorrow to make sure of no leakage, if the swallow test comes out good she should get her feading tube and other tubes removed and moved to a regular room out of the ICU. She is showing real good progress"

" Dede is doing real good. They had her out of bed and in a chair. Swelling has gone down some. We were told she be in ICU for a week. Today they said she be out of ICU tomorrow"

Hi Ya'll

DeDe came through the surgery like a trooper of course.

I couls not sleep till I heard from George (Dede probably warned him I would pacing lol)

" I just got back from the Hospital her surgery was 13 hours, The Doctor said she did real well. They are confident they got all the Cancer from Her neck, She still needs Radiation to Kill off any micro-scopic organisims.

She'll be in ICU for about a week and home in about two weeks."

Let me tell you DeDe has been keeping me calm and I making her laugh...

"The MRI was a mess, it took an hour and a half to do. The guys were so good about it and didn't try to

hurry me or make me feel like I was the cause of the problem. Finally got it done and had about 45 minutes until the first doctors appointment. Once we seen these two doctors the appointments took off running and didn't stop. They had scheduled other appointments that we didn't know about on top of the three that we did.

The first two, one was going to be doing the removing of parts while the other one is going to start the reconstruction. I will have a feeding tube and be in the hospital for at least two weeks, the first 3 or 4 days I will be in ICU. The reason is to keep an eye on the "Flap" to make sure it is healing and having no problems. They are going to take from my right arm. My thighs, (which I am so grateful for) are to "thick", my left arm had been broken when I was young and the blood flow only goes to the top of the hand and not both the top and bottom. So that only leaves my right hand and arm. The thought of having flesh removed from my thighs, ugh...I just can't imagine having to pull clothes up and down over them all of the time not to mention trying to sit and sleep. I will probably not be happy with the right arm, but when it is all healed, I will be happy about it.

Then to have blood work, EKG base line done, and then to see the anesthesiologist. Had an eleven o'clock appointment with him and finally at almost two we seen him. Which made us late for the final doctors appointment at 1:15. The doctor I gather is the one that will be removing the parts needed to reconstruct my neck, he will be doing this. He is the one that said two weeks in the hospital, they want to do swallow test before they allow me to eat and drink real food. Where the feeding tube will be, is also where the

The one young doctor that was one of the originals that helped me the first night and did the trach came into see me as we were getting ready to leave. He gave me a hug and told me he would be with me on Friday. He was one that talked to George like a person. Took the time to explain what was happening and why.

Sonia, while I was in the MRI machine this morning, I talked to you and Marie! The two of you should have heard me about 7:30. Of course this was all going on in my head, I couldn't move my finger over my trach to talk to anyone. Had to keep still....We talked and sang songs, yes sang songs, Christmas songs of all the songs to have sung. LOL "

And then -"No Sonia, I am not scared, just looking forward to getting on the other side of this so that I can start the healing process. There are a couple of things that could change the course of this surgery.

When they were looking at my MRI yesterday morning the doc said my esophagus looked good, meaning cancer free, when I went back to the last doc, he said that when he and the other doc were reviewing my MRI with the radiology guy, there is some "flashing" located like right at my collar bone on my esophagus. If it is cancer, they may stop the surgery to take another route, because now they will have to work my mid section first and then work the neck. Which means a whole new team of doctors for the mid section, and I am not sure how long that would take to put together, it has taken almost four weeks to get the neck team together.

There are so many different things, like if the cancer has attached itself to the jugular vain and they have to remove it and reconstruct, things like this don't scare me, I know the team of doctors I have are top docs, it the things like having to stop the surgery and regrouping, which means for time to get to the other side of healing.

They don't want to harvest the flap from my arm until he knows for sure that everything is a go in the neck. Can't take the chance of wasting it and then trying to figure out where to get another one.

So looking forward to getting to the other side of this....."

Today is the big day of DeDe's surgery...It will be a long day of surgery for her.

4 doctors and lots of nurses and other specialist working on her to remove the mass and reconstruct her neck and throat area.

Please say a prayer a wish anything and keep her in your thoughts today

Also keep George (husband), Brandt (youngest child - just getting his drivers permit),and the rest of the kids in your thoughts please this will be the longest day of their life.

When I hear something from George I will post it.

Going to be a long day on this side of the gulf today too.

Let me tell ya about my friend DeDe...

She has been a supportive friend and rock for me for 2 years now.

Been there for me with my ART, been there for me with Ayden.

Hi everyone....Sorry I have been absent. Been working hard at my day job. Health is getting better, working hard to change my lifestyle in eating, working out, and being healthy emotionally and physically. I have closed my Artfire and Etsy shops. I have no time to keep up with them. And my art has been in null time. I am not closing my blog, but I am going to start posting regularly about art, life, friends with art, and my grandbabies. Snowbrush I am not going anywhere my dear friend....But I am taking different approach to my art and friends and family. KJ I have missed you and adore you also. Renee has pointed out some points to me recently which I know is her. To take time to smell the roses and enjoy friends and family more. Slow down, and a total kick in the ass from her. OK here is Trish she is a "Normal" kid

who likes OK loves the kids at CKO House.

She is the sweetest doll I have ever made.

She will have real wool hair in each pigtail.

Growing up I was always a outsider like the cko kids, and in Miss Nangle's

third grade I met Tricia Collins and she was bff all through school and through

2 children. She was the normal kid who kept me grounded and made me feel

good about myself. She was normal, parents, house, siblings, clothes, smart, etc...And she was my friend

So making this doll came easy I just thought about Tricia and growing up

with a great friend. I did stupid stuff but always thought about it before I did

something because of her. She was the voice of reason in a world of chaos for me.

Thank you Tricia you may not of thought of it as anything that big of a deal

but it was for me and always stuck with me too.

Ellie and Ella

Yes I have had a few sets of twins come through, once I even had triplets. These sweet and pale little girls are also the ying and yang for each other. Each one creating balance can not have one with out the other in life.

Ellie is always thinking, tearing apart and putting together anything she can. She is very smart, maybe too smart. I can always tell when she is up to something her eyes give her away. My mother always said I could talk with my eyes, now I know what she meant. I see it in Ellie.

Ella is the taller of the two, always cordial and polite. She is a very expressive and animated little girl who is always talking. I’m not sure if she takes breaths in between sentences or not.

These two are similar in hair color, pale skin and outfits only.

Do you know which is good or evil? Each one will come with a secret you must seek out to solve.

Jade and Jada

Oh theses two are the epitome of the ying and yang, positive and negative. Its said that when there are twins one is always moodier, sensitive, and sometimes just evil. These two are the exactly that; one is good and one is evil. But because of this they can not be separated because balance must always be maintained, to ensure that chaos will never reign.

I love both these girls, and know they can balance everyone around them some how. You can tell which one is evil and good. There are a few differences because they are not identical.

Jade is the taller of the two, smart, soft porcelain skin with Jade eyes. She loves to read, athletic, polite and yes dresses like her sister.

Jada is the shortest, pale sickly skin with darkness under eyes. She has always been the sickly of the two. She is creative in many ways; writing, acting, helpful, and polite.

Their similarities are their dark jade Asian shaped eyes, hair color and matching outfits.

It is my favorite time of the year. As a child I grew up loving it because you always got to be someone else for a while day. The veil is lowered for a few days, and wondrous things happen. Loved ones get to visit and see us once again to make sure we are ok, and to make peace. The air is crisp, clean, new and moist the calm before the storm when winter rolls in. Creature Feature Double Feature was on Saturdays, and I was front and center. My first time in introduced to Poe was during a movie starring Vincent Price, my world was modified from happy Sesames Street and Morgan Freeman starring in The Electric Company to being scared, amazed, kissed with darkness.My brother and I also share the few days later as our birthdays Nov 2 and 4th. So its a very good month and days leading into winter. My world was forever more changed. The movie was The House of Usher, oh I was hooked. My favorite though is this one

In light of this past weeks news headlines. I have a little rant I want to get off my chest.

"BULLYING"

I cant say everyone knows what it is like, but some way shape or form, and you may never had realized it was happening to them. But Bullying happens to everyone, some worse then others.

Growing up I was such a tomboy a little intimidating I guess to other kids, so I needless to say most of the time I didnt get bullied into much. During the grade school years atleast, but later in Jr/Sr High I did over teenage rumors and stories. I mostly beat up on the bully's that bothered my brother Dale next after me (I'm the oldest of 3; one girl two boys). My brother Dale was bullied from grade school to his last year in high school as a freshmen. Yes he quit because of the issue as a ninth grader, he started working at age 16 at a cement pipe factory. he worked long hours and hard no matter what job he was doing. He was was bullied because he was in Special Ed dept of the school. My brother was severe dyslexic, saw words backwards, etc...Back in 1977 there was no mainstreaming, or accomodations for this. If you had any form of disability either mentally or physically you were placed in one lump and one classroom. Thats where Dale was casted away too. No matter where we lived there was always the bully's that sought out the weaker to inflict pain upon. I was beating up the neighborhood boys more then twice a week. And if I couldnt get them to leave my brother alone I went and got someone who could. I never once told my brother "No one likes a Tattle tail" or "Oh stop being a crybaby and deal with it"..

No I had to protect him, and I did. After awhile no one would pick on him because they learned touch Dale his sister will get ya. I taught him how to protect himself with words or defense moves.

So far so good till we moved to another town in northern Pennsylvania. Where it started all over till a teacher pitched in and joined in. My brother was discouraged and beaten down, he quit. I talked him back into finishing and it took all his courage to go back and try again. He did and a teacher called him out in front of the whole class, and said," See I told you, you would never out in the real world, you came crawling back I see". Dale stood up and walked out and would never go back that was 1987. I instead and went laid into the Teacher in front of his whole class, and explained it was his job for encouragement, and to teach. Not be a bully and act like he was back in high school again and to grow the f~ up. Needless to say dale never went back, but he is a good man, hard working, owning his own home, raising a 5 yr old, and a huge love to his niece and nephew and his sister.

Forward now to 2004 Austin, Tx my kids and I just moved here from North Carolina to start over and have a better life. Son is in the 5th grade, he is add/adhd, and very short and tiny for age. At age 11 he looks like he is 1st grade. Bullying has become a normalcy for him. Even the lil girls pick on him. I let the new school know and new teacher, my son seems to get picked on and bullied alot by bigger kids if they could keep an eye on it. He is always the main target because he is so tiny. They say oh no problem...4 months into school. I am being called into the school by the principal to come to see her. My thought here we go again, mind you I beat up kids my son. I tried to teach him to turn the other check and tell and adult or a teacher, any grown up will help you. Ok well, I get to school into the office to sit with the principal the teacher. My son had hired body guards and because he couldnt pay them what he promised they roughed him up. I sat mouth open, while the teacher yammered how my son wiggles to much, and fidgets alot. I stood up told the teacher to leave the room because I had warned her and had been asking regularly on pick up if everything was ok, no bully issues. She always said no problem didnt see anything. Told the principle everything, she called in my son who told her the teacher told him tattling isnt allowed. Yes thats what she told him when he would go to her, and his remedial teacher told him the same thing also. Now Im not saying all teachers are this way. But these teachers over the years, not all, but a few did do this. My son is a Junior this year survived all the ordeals and if it is still happening he has not said, but we ask. he said he stays strange and most just dont come near him. I said Ok be a chamleon if it gets you through your class. He said it does and he has more friends now anyway. LOL...

But in light of the case at Rutgers College, the florida 13 year old who commited suidcide over it. Any of thses cases that are media or not in the media. This really is a issue that is hurtful. It is mentally and physically exhausting, everyday is a day of torment and not being able to just be you and be left alone. No matter what you do or go someone is messing with you. No one deserves that menatl abuse. I am griefed that even in college it keeps happening and its laughed at like the person was just weak and they must have already had mental problems to do all that. NO Im sorry that isnt true at all. The bullying depleats a persons dignity, confidence, ego, breaks down their personality and wrecks their emotional strength. Like people go through in torture as a prisoner of war.Bullying happens at all ages, abusive marriages, bosses to employees and vice versa. No one young or old should have to take it and live being made to feel like they are less as a human because someone with no power says so. Yes bullies have no power thats why they seek out people to torment.

Its not OKAY.

Let's make bullying not okay. Can't make it stop till people know its not okay to treat people this way. That there should repercussions to bullying not just "Oh kids will be kids"

I made a button to say enough is enough.

Put this button on and start letting our kids, others kids, young, old grade, high school, college, workplace, relationship its ok to TATTLE. And people start listening may not seem like much to you but to the one being bullied its a ORDEAL and NIGHTMARE!!!!

Pass it on and let us end this form of terrorism on own US soil and anywhere else around the world.

also, who has curly hair, big eyes and meows.

See Zoe always wanted to be a Lil black cat for Halloween.

Her mother bought her the costume, well Zoe would never take it off.

Her Mom was so distraught and brought her here because

she couldn't handle it any longer. Zoe wouldn't give in became a cat

of sorts (mental breakdown and split personality syndrome I heard).

Love in family and in romance.

Two sisters love for each other.

I never had any sisters growing up.

But when i saw this movie I knew these

are the two women I would want as sisters.

The bond and love between the two sisters

is what I always wanted to experience.

They are night and day but they still bond over

their love and understanding of each other.

Sandra Bullock is a native of where I live in Austin TX

and a true hometown lady in all aspects.

My favorite part of the movie is when all the women

of the town band together to help save these sisters

from the evils of some obsessive love.

The sisters show that love transcends all boundaries

good or bad, wrong or right.

Love is magical all by itself with no binders,

or potions, chants or spells.

That's what love is the original magic of Nature

No one person or persons can recreate the natural magic of love.

As in the movie if you try it becomes UN~natural

and therefore not pure and true of heart.

I have lived by those words my whole life.

She is hard to handle because wriggles and wryles

when you try to restrain her.

Feathers fly when you stir her up.

Oh and the language that comes out her mouth is unheard of.

No manners and has a problem five fingering other peoples possessions.

Oh Raven...

Raven is a 9in head to toe, and a mere 5.5in sitting on her can.

She hides her stash in that box under her pillow,

its 5in x 5in x 4in

Paper Clay is she (ssh she doesn't know), jointed with wire,

her feathers will fly if you don't take care of her.

Now her she is from behind, she freely sits on her

pillow. Can sit on about any surface freely.

Ayden is home!!!

Came home last Monday got all settled in.

Knowing I was 100%before going around him I got to see him yesterday

for a couple hours.

Oh we had fun...MeMa bought him this super soft

Spiderman blanket and PJ's to match.

Oh how wonderful it is to hold him again, I know that's the best part

for Erin also..

What a wonderful Mommy she is.

Oh and can he laugh, no sound but his face says it all!!!!

Hi All

Sorry been a Lil under the weather around here with real bad head colds, and upper respiratory infection.

Ayden is ready to come but he cant go home till all the medical equipment is home for him.

Can not risk infection I had been sick so I have not been able to go see him in 2 wk exactly. Hope to be up there Wed if all is fine. As far as weight last week he was almost 11 lbs.. I will get some pictures this week and post them.

I have been working in the office since the work PC took a dive. Company gave me a PC,

but have to had more memory to it for it to be faster, will put in this weekend. So after this

week I should be back home working. Thank goodness feel much better at home.

I have been in the art room getting creative again.

She is mad all the time and doesn't know why,

Some say its because she is dead.

I just think she was dropped on her head.

So be a little weary as they say as I warned you on this day

step lightly if you see her at the orphanage

I'm being held responsible to this she just considers the mundane.

Ayden Update

Let me tell ya more about Ayden..

He had a feeding tube put in yesterday around lunch time, into his stomach to help with his weight gain.

Last week Ayden weighed 8.2lbs this week 9.11lbs

He has a very high metabolism so when he gets upset he burns a lot of calories.

I wish I could burn calories that way.

Ayden has a temper...which he gets from his mommy.

Ayden loves to sit up even after surgery he was happier sitting up then laying down.

He has been fighting sleep the past two days, but he has been asleep a lot for the past month.

If he looks Chinese it's because he had some morphene in him...But he listened and followed when ya moved .

Ayden mema loves you...You are my most favorite man in the universe even over uncle Noah and papa.

You are a true prize fighter....I know he has angels watching him.

Ayden Update

Ayden is no longer held in a medical coma,

taking him down off the meds over the weekend.

Brought him down off with methadone and that ended yesterday.

He had pneumonia on Tuesday but thats because of

everything going on with all the meds. He is doing great though.

The following pics are from yesterdays visit.

His mommy is neat freak, PaPa gave her the idea of cleaning his nails

with a very soft toothe brush. OI Vey and away she went at his fingers and toes LOL.

My favorite is him holding my finger and his smile because mommy was running

the toothe brush across his feet.

He couldnt open his eyes very good antibiotic in him made him drowsey,

but when the pretty blonde nurse came in he woke up and watched her closely...Thats the lil man for ya..The FLIRT!!!!

I have tell yall THANK YOU

for the understanding, prayers, wishes and encouragement I let my daughter Erin and Ayden know

they are in everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Ayden update

Ayden is doing good after surgery on Monday to have a tracheotomy put in to help him breathe. Because he is so Lil he will have to wait till he is a Lil bigger to correct his closed nostril.

He will be put in a regular room next week. He is still fighting all the meds to keep him in his

medicinal coma. My Lil prize fighter.

Erin will be taught how to care and manage the equipment, and nurse will be there for 2 weeks with her.

I know she can handle it and be able to do this. What many don't know is she was army and was in a massive car accident where ppl lost their lives except her. She was on the autobahn in Germany when it happened. Through the windshield and her hair caught in the motor. She survived and had a lot of surgeries.

She was released on medical services out of the army. She is a vet and can do many things. I am proud of my child and know she will and can do this also for Ayden. She will not be alone she is part of a large family of Friends and family who will be there for her.

Ayden has been having a lot of tests and is in a medical induced coma right now.

He will be having a trachea put in today.

He is one tough Lil man, he has been fighting the meds to put to sleep, trying to wake up.

I have no doubts he will be a strong Lil man like his Mom is.

So keep the wishes and prayers up. We appreciate it all, we really do.

Will keep everyone updated, been tired with work and other things on the mind.

Well I had a great weekend

till the PC I use to work from home on, crashed. I have laptops but for my job they are a nuisance

more than anything. So I must dress, do the do and makeup, and go back to cubicle land for a Lil while.

Only plus to this, I have to get dressed, do the do and make-up. And I will get alot of reading and writing done. So if you have my email, hit me up I will be bored one staring into PC hell.

Oh took new pic of me....reupholstered the campers seating and cushions. Got alot done...now I have to go into the office.....UGH...cubicle hell....Maybe I post my torment through being able to post through my email LOL...nah wont make ya suffer like I.

Only In Texas

Only in Texas does everyone including grandma own a gun and has a license to carry it also.

And when that happens many times does a date come across the glock carrying Dad. Case in point.

on this very night, a unsuspecting daughter brings home a co-worker. Said daughter doesn't say anything about bringing a person home with her. So the Dad my husband is, he throws on his shorts and reaches for his pistol. Walks out into the livingroom towards the unsuspecting visitor. Only saying,"Why are you in my house?"

The young man states, "I am here with Kylib, Caleb, Cody". Husbands reply, "Who is Kylib?"

The co worker swallows hard. The husband walks to the bathroom door where he hears the shower, says "Kiley you in there?" Husband starts to walk back towards the young man who stands up to announce , "Since you have a gun I will introduce myself, I'm", of course husband doesn't hear any of it. He is too busy gloating he got his daughter good.

Within 10 minutes you hear daughter heading towards bedroom, where I am laughing hysterically. She knocks at the door, to only have her dad answer and say, "I'm sorry Kiley, next time you need to call before bringing people in the house". She bursts out laughing and says her co-worker tells her he should have been told about gun wielding step dads,

I am laughing and had been laughing very hard for 30 minutes straight, face hurting from all the laughing.

Kiley states we are wrong, and have issues. I proceed to laugh uncontrollably and state, "Oh well!"

Life is perfect when you have times of laughter, pure joy, and making the time for being able to embarrass

your children.

Want to Thank some special

vets of the armed services

1. My daughter Liz - recently out of the services, she served in Iraq

2. My daughter Erin and the mother to my grandson - She served in the Army till a car crash

Eddy - The godfather, brother to me and my confidant to I and the kids

Served in The United States Marine Corp as a Sniper, grunt, Recon(the crazy ones)

Went to Iraq 3 times, only to die in Texas in a car crash 3 yrs ago.

He left a wife and son, and us who all miss him badly.

I used to pick him up on the weekends while he was in school for USMC in Virginia

to get him away from the barracks. We would watch movies, mess with the kids, teach the oldest

to drive, wrestle my middle daughter and son. He was always trying to embarrass me. The kids

favorite was when he would go in my purse and stuff my tampons(wrapped) under his upper lip, clap his hands to make a walrus noises. All while hanging out the window of my car, or chasing me around the yard on my wedding day, or just to do it to make the kids laugh because they knew it killed me.

I miss you SGT Eddy Johnson, but memories keep u in my heart and the kids heart.

Soldiers do not get aid much because there job is 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. I know we used to be military for 5 yrs. Its a difficult stressful, lonely, hard life. If you know someone in the military or u see someone in the military say "Thank you". Let them know they are appreciated. Even and vet homeless, or not still needs a thank you once in a while.

My family moved alot..

We were referred to as

gypsies. My father and mother went where work was good

and schools and housing was good for me and my two Lil brothers.

We moved out of New Jersey when I was 8.

From 3rd grade to 10th

my favorite place we lived was between

Portland and Bangor Pa

Same school district.

I counted once how many places I have lived

in my life so far it is 26 different homes

I'm 41 now it's 1 every 1.5 years. Guess no none can say I planted roots anywhere...and I wasn't even military but for 5 yrs and I was 2 places with them in the same town lol...USMC doesn't have a lot of bases with family houses.

asked this question on her blog yesterday. It was a very good question and I thought I would elaborate my answer to the same question.

1. How has art saved your life?

Art has saved my life in many ways. growing up I needed a release from dysfunctional family issues. Escape from the issues. I didn't read much at all back then. I would draw, doodle, and make things as a way to distract my brain from what was actually going on. Alcoholism, arguments, verbal abuse, embarrassment. Art can only be truly defined and explained by the artist, people have opinions and thoughts but only the artist knows what drove it that way. Then as I began to escape from the family having my own child at 16 and marrying at 17...It was way to still escape, fantasize. I would paint on anything. Painted walls, murals, crafts, and drew anything. It was way to not think about the real life issues. Real issues like why was I married ? My child was never a resentment or question, none of them. I escaped forced religion, guilt by religion by playing along and drawing. I changed my house around all the time decorated also as a relief in art. Taught my children expression in art and themselves. I could never express my wishes and thoughts except through that. I wanted them to be themselves with there own minds, opinions, ideas, and choices. The choices made in my life were all made to escape, and look for good. At the end of the first failed marriage due to being too young, alcoholism by him, and trying to do what was right not was good for me and the kids. The marriage ended after 15 yrs not without trying that is for sure. I went into hair design, I could do art and get paid, and provide for my kids. I went to another failed marriage that was doomed from the beginning because I jumped to quickly thinking love was a key. It was love it was another escape from pressure on how I should be and do. But that marriage gave me independence because he joined the military, and for the first time I felt strong, independent for my own actions and choices. Even the choice in the man was wrong, I still gained some confidence in being in control. Gave my kids a chance to see me grow and become independent. I grew during that time, to stand up and say enough to a physically abusive, and another alcoholic. I loved when he was out in the field, or overseas. He did help me become independent in a very strange way. When I left that marriage 4yrs into it, was for to save me and the kids from escalating abuse to me not them. They felt the strain no matter how hard I tried to play everything off and hide it. My art was still there, I painted , created through crafts, sewing, hair, interior design. But an attempt on my life with his abuse was the last straw. When he went to Iraq which wasn't too soon, I left. The kids and I went some where new, ours, and no one could make me change my mind. We started over, loaded the car in the middle of the night(movers moved the material items)and off we went. Three kids, one Lil taco dog, one snake, and full gas tank. We drove to Texas...and started over. We began a new, with help from a roommate who was my friend and soon to be ex mom in law. She knew her son was wrong, and chose us over him. I'm thankful for her and we are still friends I call her Mom, and she is the grandma of the kids. She never judged, controlled or demanded anything. She came from the same background and understood. My art was stronger than ever...and my kids were growing, expressing and free also.

I met my husband when not looking. I dated and cared for myself, but was not looking for love..hated that word. He was opposite of anyone I ever would be attracted too. Well shit not that I made good choices before. I took a chance and bam love actually grew to something so strong. He is older than me but he taught me what true love was. He encouraged my art like no other person ever had. Never once did he exploit it. Others loved my art but always wanted something from it. It was mine, when it became a chore I stopped. Art was MINE and no one could take it, destroy it, kill it, or abuse it. When it started to go that route I quit. I guarded it with everything in my soul. It was and is the only time I am ME.

I learned art from my father, who inherited it from his father. As I look back he was the same way with his art. It was a life saver from disturbing dysfunction. Artists see art in everything, even if something they may not like. They see the beauty in even the most awkward or disturbing. Art is nature, music, people, and life. My father always escaped and I carried that onto me. He dealt with abuse and even subconsciously gave it with alcohol. But he did teach me positive thinking because it can always be worse in the world. Without art I think I would have gone crazy, and destructive.

Friend brought up the word eccentric artist, I love that title. if eccentric is being yourself with no guilt about how others want you to be. Or being true to yourself, when others are not. Then I stand proud of that title and say cheers to the eccentric. The eccentric live to make themselves real. It is the hardest thing a person can do with all the pressures, titles, guilt, and ignorance in the world. I have striven to make sure my children become who they feel they are, and stay true to themselves. I don't lay guilt(we all do a Lil, I just try not to with whats important to them), pressure them into hiding themselves or personality. They know right from wrong, and know that happiness is in them not relying on anyone else. Some may say well isn't that making them selfish? No because if they are happy they will carry that over to others in a happy good way. Evil is a choice, misery is a choice. I just wanted them to make a choice in their own happiness whatever it is, and own it. I own all my fall backs and choices.

Wow this a long post...LOL and when did PacMan become 30 gawd dammit? OI....On health issues...fibro good...not in a bad way but the meds are helping. But because of the fibro if you don't know comes side effects...IBS, memory loss, etc....The IBS has been bad...so off to the gastric Dr..or as I say the poop Dr. The C word runs in my family both sides fun fun. So I am always checked..how that helps who knows. If it happens it happens...But colon cancer is something very strong on the women on my mom's side. My great grandma had it, my grandma twice, and they removed polyps from my mom. So when I don't have bowels but once a week ...Dr says hmmm we're going to the specialist. was supposed to go 6 months ago....denial, fear, and finances talked me out of it. So this Wednesday I go to the specialist poop doctor. Because I have been bloated and tender where the colon runs. This time I say its nothing because I try to always take worst case scenario to not be surprised. My doctor will tell ya I am a worrier. I have depression, and anxiety, ocd, and social anxiety...LOL everyone is shocked when they find out this. I am not ashamed because me being true to myself may help someone else, since this has been a life long thing long put on the back burner by parents, and societies denial. I like knowing whats wrong...after all the years of bottling everything up my mind no longer can take it...which may have led to the fibro. I read an article stating that crafts and art can help...well shit then maybe that's why I survived all the crap I dealt and was dealt in life.

Ha Ha ART does save lives...being ECCENTRIC is a good thing...PacMan is 30...and my Dr. knows me more then many....And my HUSBAND LOVES me for ME!

Went on a excursion yesterday. Husband and I decided we would go to a local State park near our home. We have never been there before. I love to walk and hike trails and havent been in a very long time. I was feeling good on the new medicine as of lately. My husband loves to fish, and they have fishing also there.

I so enjoyed myself immensely. I took my camera and off I trekked by myself. 3 miles long the trail I went on was. Husband was a lil worried because he didnt realize I would walk the whole thing. So from now on he says he will go with me. Its nice to have someone love you and worry also.

"He is Here!"

Yesterday at around 230pm Ayden brought into this world by emergency C-section.

He is around 4.6oz, healthy

Just small because the umbilical cord was twisted

and not getting him all the nutrients.

Doctors say he will be fine, they helicoptered him to the preemie neonatal unit

in Temple TX(a two hour drive) to monitor him.
